MASSAGE THERAPY

Services

As a Certified Massage Therapist that has been practicing for over two decades, I have a hands-on practice that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being.

Swedish Massage

I was trained initially in Swedish massage as part of my 2200 hour professional training program. Massage is used to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and enhance overall well-being. I utilize various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, and active relief or trigger point therapy, which can cater to different needs, from stress reduction to injury recovery. Whether sought for relaxation or therapeutic purposes, massage therapy is a holistic approach to health and wellness, aiming to balance the body, mind, and spirit through my skilled and compassionate touch.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a technique that targets the fascia, a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles throughout the body. I use sustained pressure and stretching to release restrictions in the fascia, promoting increased flexibility, improved posture, and relief from chronic pain. Myofascial release is often employed to address issues like muscle tightness, scar tissue, and chronic pain conditions. I have also been certified in myofascial cupping

Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique that involves the use of suction cups on the body to address issues related to the fascia, which is the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs. The primary goals of myofascial cupping are to release tension, improve blood circulation, and promote overall healing.

Craniosacral Therapy

I became certified in Craniosacral therapy in 2005. It is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. I use subtle touch to release restrictions and improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, aiming to enhance the body's natural healing capabilities. It is often used to address conditions related to stress, trauma, and chronic pain.
